Yamunotri - The source of the river Yamuna in the Indian Himalayas. Yamunotri is the source of the holy river Yamuna and the seat of the Goddess of the same name. The temple at the top of a valley in the Garhwal Region of Uttarakhand is dedicated to Yamuna Devi and is one of four main pilgrimage sites in the Indian Himalayas known as the Chota Char Dham. It is commonly known as the beginning of the river Yamuna but below the actual glacial source.
